Aims

To show participants how to target their audience and set objectives to ensure a relevant presentation.

To explore different means of delivering a presentation and define appropriate uses for these.

To show how to overcome nerves by using different techniques, including rehearsals.

To help participants deal effectively with questions during and after a presentation.

To offer participants an opportunity to practice delivering a presentation to the group.

Objectives

By the end of the course, participants will be able to :

Effectively define their target audience.

Draw up objectives relevant to their audience, compatible with the organisation's ethos and suitable for the presentation.

Explain which method of delivering a presentation is the most appropriate for a variety of situations.

Demonstrate how to use a variety of delivery methods.

Explain the necessity of rehearsals and preparation in combating nerves.

B7 Demonstrate how to plan and execute a short, planned presentation on a topic of their choice.

Define strategies for dealing with questions during and after a presentation.

Duration: 9 am to 4.30 pm
